My, What a Difference a Day Makes!

May 22, 2008

Here we sit under the reign of newly crowned American Idol, David Cook. Shocked? A little. How cool to have the Canadian Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, playing? His face looked like a leather bag but his voice was still sweet as Maple Syrup.

This is the last post about the american idols that I’ll do. I simply wanted to show you the difference of the search references that led people to my blog today and yesterday. It is quite comical. As usual, I highlighted the ones that made me laugh the most.

Why I Was Right When I Said That David Archuleta Must Lose!

May 20, 2008

All of you Archuleta fans have been so mean to me. You’ve all said how I’m jealous. You’ve told me that I’m a hater. You’ve even said that you were voting extra for David A. simply because of my posting. Because of you, this posting is the one that I’ve gotten the most hits on (even more than my own “about me” section). But here is the thing: As I lay trying to take a nap today, I watched “Ellen” as Simon Cowell said the exact same thing as I did in my original posting of David Archuleta Must Lose. He said that beyond the voice, David Archuleta doesn’t have any skills to be a pop star, even saying that “once you get beyond the ‘Golly, gee…” of the sentence, David has nothing”.

Now it comes down to tonight – the season finale for American Idol. I gloat in the fact that Simon and I are on track, but lament the fact that David Cook’s career may possibly turn for the worse if he defeats our friend David Archuleta. With that in mind, I leave all the fans of David Archuleta with these parting words: suck it.

Bring back Blake Lewis! wait. who?

“I’m Kind of a Douche Bag” Part III

April 30, 2008

I began this little title of “I’m Kind of a Douche Bag” about a month ago when I was talking about things I have said in the past that were those insert foot into mouth moments. Here is another one of those posts.

A while back, I wrote a post about why David Archuleta must lose. It’s been great, because I’ve recieved many comments about how I am jealous of David A. and everything else that comes with it. My personal favorite I erased because it was under my “about me” and not under the post. It said, “After reading your About me, it is funny because David is also influenced by Stevie Wonder and will be working with Clive Davis. Jealous Much?” That made my day. The thing that I’ve realized is that David A. has a great fan base who believes that they must defend their idol, and rightfully so. I would do the same for somebody that I liked and believed that they were great though others may disagree. So, why does this go under the Douche Bag title? Number one, because of the reactions to my thoughts, and number two because I believe that he still must lose.

If you are a fan of David Archuleta, you MUST agree with me. If the past idols have taught us anything, the “great” idols lose: Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson. Only two winners have gone on to do something “great”: Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. So, if you want your “idol” to make it, you would want them to lose.

New Kids On The Block: The Reunion?

April 3, 2008

nkotb-today.jpg

An NKOTB reunion tour? It might be interesting to go to see if granny panties are being thrown on stage. I wonder though if this really a necessary tour. Who would go really?

Here is something to tide you over in the mean time. Remember this little gem?

What is running through your mind after listening to that?

David Archuleta Must Lose!

March 31, 2008

It’s not jealousy. It’s not hating him. It’s more so an annoyance. Who is David Archuleta you may ask? He is this kid:david.jpg

Edit: If you are a fan of David Archuleta reading this after finding it on Google search, here is a continuance on why David Must LOSE! that you may find interesting. Also, check out here to see what I said about david archuleta heading into the finals.

For those who don’t own TV, don’t follow pop television, or live under a rock, David Archuleta is the front runner for American Idol. His breaking moment was when he sang John Lennon’s “Imagine”. He blew everyone away. Middle aged women were crying, John Lennon’s single sales went up on Itunes, and teenage girls and boys were excited to see this seventeen year old with such amazing talent. So why must he lose?

I spoke about David Archuleta earlier in a post here. The reason David Archuleta must lose is because he is the worst pop star I’ve ever seen. His voice is really strong, but his “Gosh, thanks for even noticing me and reiterating what I’ve been told most of my life about my singing abilities” routine is getting really old. Some people call it humility, but seriously, take a compliment without the “I can’t believe you like me” response once in a while. Seriously, David Archuleta must lose. I hope that I am not the only person who sees this.

**Edit: If you are a fan of David Archuleta reading this after finding it on Google search or something like that, here is a recent post to continue my theory of why David Must LOSE! that you may find interesting.**
