No More Fat A$$ People In Ministry: Week 1

Well, my wife was sick and then I got sick. You can tell where I am going with this. I didn’t get to the gym as much as I wanted to (only 3 times), but I did keep a semi healthy eating regimine. So here is how it went down:

 

Original Weigh In: Wt. – 217 lbs      Chest – 45       Waist – 42 1/2

Week 1: Wt. – 215 lbs.     Chest – 44 1/2      Waist – 42

 

So I lost 2 lbs and a half an inch on my chest and waist. It was really hard this week because I really wanted to eat bad because I was sick. My wife pesters me by telling me, “now you have all of those people on your blog who are going to keep you accountable.” Thanks honey. Anyways, what I did different this week was I really tried to keep an eye on what I ate and drank. Basically I looked at what I was putting into my mouth before I put it in there. I need to start an eating journal. That’s what I want to do. That would probably get it going.

Wednesday Weigh In: The Fat Hawaiian Returns!!!

Well, Why haven’t I done the “Wednesday Weigh In” in a while? Let’s see, with my array of excuses, I will choose the following: the two week cold, the return of the two week cold, the flu, and most of all laziness. So I return with a vicious vengeance. After watching The Biggest Loser and seeing the guys weighing less than I think I do gets me going. So here we go again. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the Wednesday Weigh In Version 2.0 for this year. I haven’t gone to the gym yet today, but I will and I will edit it in for you all to see how much weight I have gained. Honestly I don’t know.

Wednesday Weigh In

I couldn’t weigh in this week, because I am sick. I’m talking sick sick. Coughing up lungs and nasty sh*t. I slept most of the day. Didn’t eat much, but I did go to breakfast with Matt Martinson at the Old Town Cafe. That ruled. Thanks Monk!  I started Plato’s Republic and A Theology as Big as the City by Ray Bakke when I was awake. My throat hurts and I have such a big headache that my teeth hurt.

Weigh In Wednesday

Well, I gained a pound…I’m up at 218. It must be all that muscle that I’m building, right? Maybe I’m bloated or retaining water. I don’t know. Hopefully next week will be better.

I have a funny story for you actually. This past weekend as I led worship at RCC, there was only one guy in the congregation. Granted we are a small church, but to be leading 20 women in worship and you being one of the only guys in the room…it’s a little intimidating. I thought it was a learning experience and quite comical at the same time.

Wednesday Weigh-In

Is it wednesday already? Well, I went to the gym today and weighed in at 217. Total loss of 3 lbs. Not bad. Pretty excited actually. I’ve been really trying to watch my diet and also excercise on the daily. Anyways, thought I would update you. I have to lose 17+ lbs by March 31st. Hopefully this goal will be attained. Thanks for your interest…

Wednesday Weigh-In

I was having kind of a bad day today. I have to prep a sermon for this weekend (I’m still waiting for the epiphany to hit me), I’m not feeling good, and I am still at 220 lbs. Then I look in my mail and my friend sent me this:

These are Leonards Malasadas. These are the best thing that you will ever eat…if you are into the best desserts EVER!!! This is a mix between a doughnut and creamy coconut goodness. This is an extra 2 lbs added to my butt, but I don’t care. Thank you Alan and Audrey. You guys rocked my world.

I’ll get serious about my workout tomorrow. I swear.

I’m fat. no, overweight. yeah, I’m overweight. I weigh 220 lbs. I need to lose 20 lbs by March 31st. On Wednesday’s until March 31st I am going to weigh in and share it with you. I didn’t want to scare you with a video like Carlos over at Ragamuffin, so I am going to spare you. Just imagine a big hawaiian in need of some Jenny Craig and excercise. I’ll keep you updated.
